20221002 Food And Drink Festival Demo Kitchen

Don't Miss the Morpeth Food and Drink Festival

Morpeth Food and Drink Festival is here this weekend (October 1st and 2nd)! The Festival, which sees visitors from far and wide descend upon the town for fun, shopping and of course food and drink, is back with a bang and will welcome over 100 local food and drink traders this year.

Following a two-year postponement of the event due to COVID-19, the Festival, which takes place along Bridge Street, is forecast to attract over 50,000 visitors.

Alongside live music and food from around the world, what we’re especially excited about here at More in Morpeth is our local businesses displaying their talents on the Demo Kitchen (Sponsored by Morpeth Town Council.) A key change to the demo kitchen this year is that it has been moved to the top of Bridge Street in a more prominent position outside Morpeth Town Hall.

Local businesses involved include: The Chocolate Gallery, Firehouse No.1, Made of Crumbs, Cafe Des Amis, Barluga, Caribe Coffee, and Pleased to Meet You, as well as a number of other traders well known from their appearances at the town’s regular markets.

The Free Park and Ride services will be running from County Hall to Morpeth Bus Station throughout the weekend from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. This will bring the visitors straight into the heart of the action where they can visit the Festival and then venture further into Morpeth to explore all of the other fantastic businesses the town has to offer.

Next to the Chantry at the bottom of the street will be a Live Music stage showcasing local talent from around the region. See the full line up below:
