Morpeth Town Council are seeking public opinion of two new future potential developments.
Firstly, the Council would like to know if it should carryout environmental improvements at Allery Banks. The land is currently owned by Karbon Homes and NCC, it is overgrown, has drainage problems and has become a fly tipping hotspot. The Town Council are proposing to take ownership of the land and carryout works which will alleviate seasonal flooding to the north of the site, and improve the condition and biodiversity of the area. This work will be undertaken sensitively so as not to negatively affect current valued features and habitats within the site. Detailed proposals outlining the improvements.
Secondly, MTC are looking at options to improve the space adjacent to the skate park, which is currently an underused mini basketball court. Potential options for this area could include an extension to the skate park or the introduction of some outdoor fitness equipment.
Both projects received overwhelming support at the event however, it’s not too late to let us know what you think, you have until 14th October. Please complete and return the survey below or you can submit your comments via email to info@morpeth-tc.gov.uk.
