Government Roadmap out of Lockdown: Rules under Step 2
· non-essential retail can reopen
· personal care services such as hairdressers and nail salons can reopen
· public buildings such as libraries and community centres can reopen
· outdoor hospitality venues can reopen, with table service only
· most outdoor attractions including zoos, theme parks can reopen
· some smaller outdoor events can take place
· indoor leisure and sports facilities can reopen for individual exercise
· all childcare and supervised activities are allowed indoors and outdoors for all children. Parent and child groups can take place for up to 15 people
· weddings, civil partnership ceremonies, wakes and other commemorative events can take place for up to 15 people

Vaccination roll-out: All people are aged 45 or over, everyone who is clinically vulnerable, anyone who has a learning disability and all carers are now being invited for first vaccination. Invites will come from both i) to book at the large NHS Hubs (like Centre for Life) and ii) (separately and a little later, depending on vaccine supplies) from your GP Surgery. Morpeth Library on Manchester St is open (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, Sat 10am-12noon) for time limited browsing and prebooked PC access. Morpeth Town Council are calling for suggestions as to what different pitch markings are needed on the new MUGA in front of the Carlisle Park Pavilion. Suggestions will carry more weight if they are from groups who can demonstrate that their choice will actually be played on.

Local Elections 6th May: Candidates for County and Town Councils have been declared and voters can vote for one county councillor and up to five town councillors in each of the three Morpeth wards. Deadline for registering to vote is 19th April and the postal ballot papers will be posted out on 23rd April.
