The annual display of Christmas Lights is a joint project between Morpeth Town Council and the Chamber of Trade. The Christmas lights are officially switched on every year in the Market Place in November along with the celebrations of the Mistletoe Fair, held in the Town Hall.
The Mistletoe Fair held in the Town Hall provides a range of gifts and crafts. Parents and grandparents can enjoy free mulled wine provided by Morpethnet, whilst the children enjoy the free kiddies’ roundabout situated in the Market Place. Light Refreshments are also available to purchase from the Town Hall throughout the day.
This year the event takes place on Saturday 25th November 2017 with the Carol Singing and the Christmas Address. Ellington Colliery Band will be playing traditional Christmas carols on the Market Place.
