Update on the North Morpeth Strategic Sewer project from Northumbrian Water:
Work will be starting again on Monday 23 October for a period of up to 8 weeks to complete the construction and commissioning of the sewage pumping station near the Northern Bypass / Fairmoor round-about and install additional drainage on St George’s hospital access road between the ongoing Linden Homes development and the hospital.
We will be re-establishing a temporary compound at the back of the former St George’s hospital site next to the bowling club on Monday 23 October and carrying out enabling work on the verge of the access road in preparation for the resumption of drainage work that expect to start week commencing 30 October.
While vehicular and pedestrian access to the hospital will be maintained at all times, it will be necessary to install temporary traffic lights on the hospital access road for a short period to allow drainage work to progress.
